A restless energy and desire to connect with the listener lies at the core of Francis of Delirium, with Jana Bahrich’s personal lyrics being underpinned by an undeniable rock sound that is as liberating as it is intense.
Hailed as a Gen Zer excitingly redrawing 90s classic indie rock (unsurprising given her chief collaborator Chris Hewett hails from Seattle and is three decades her senior), a deep admiration for contemporary acts such as Car Seat Headrest, Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens is also abundantly clear.
Jana is now releasing her debut album to a local audience, before taking it on the road around Europe and North America.
She popped in to Today Radio to speak about the release and play a live song:
If you’d like to win a pair of tickets to the show, all you have to do is text/WhatsApp in to the studio phone on +352 621 52 5000, answering the question: “What is the name of Francis of Delirium’s upcoming album?”
Best of luck!
