Singer Olivier Treinen and producer Yves Stephany sat down with Stephen ahead of their show at De Gudde Wëllen on 23 November to discuss their long history in music-making, starting from playing in village orchestras, all the way to their current projects.
The two have collaborated many times over the years. Now, Cosmokramer allows them to truly explore the synth pop genre as a duo. Big fans of post-punk and New Wave music, Oli and Yves seek to combine late 70s influences with a contemporary twist, calling their work “confused music for confused and confusing times”.
Their latest single “Spleen Queen” was released on 17 November and takes its inspiration from the cult sci-fi movie “Blade Runner”.
