
The first one on our list has to be Rock am Ring, one of the biggest and most well known festivals in Germany. It’s taking place from 2 to 4 June at Nürnburgring, which is less than two hours away from the city centre. This year’s headliners are Foo Fighters, Evanescence, Papa Roach and Rise Against. It is a must if you are a rock fan. The weekend tickets start at 230€.
Next up is a festival right here at home. The incomparable Peter Fox is coming to Dudelange for the two-day festival Usina. On 3 & 4 June the Neischmelz site will host great acts like De Läb & Nicool Lime Garden, Interpol and Gretel Hänlyn. The Team of RTL Today Radio will be present as well and will give away tickets, ahead of the festival so be sure to listen in. If you already want to get a ticket now you can get the one for the whole weekend for 82€.
If you’re headed to Austria this June, don’t miss out on their biggest rock festival Nova Rock happening from 7-10 June. Headliners are Parkway Drive, The Prodidgy, Slipknot, Within Temptation but also the iconic German punk band Die Ärtze. Tickets start at 115€.
That same week about two hours from Berlin in Ferropolis, lovers of electronic music will find their heaven at the Melt Festival. From 8 to 11 June Beabadoobee, Boys Noize, Bicep and many more will rock the unique location dubbed “city of iron.” The weekend tickets go for 209€.

In case you’re staying home you could maybe check out the Francofolies in Esch-sur-Alzette these same days 8 -11 June. DJ Snake, Orelsan, Angèle and many other french artists are stopping by for four days of full frenchie action. Tickets are quickly selling out but you can still get the 2 day ticket for 85€ and the 3 day ticket for 120€, standing room only.
Now finally we’ve got something for fans of Metal music. From 15 - 18 June, both the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium and the Hellfest Open Air in Clisson, France are happening. Some of the headliners like Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Parkway Drive and Mötley Crüe are playing at both festivals but you’ll need to decide whether you want to see Guns ‘N Roses in Belgium for around 280€ or Iron Maiden in France for around 243€.

Should you prefer alternative rock, maybe Hurricane and its sister festival Southside in Germany are something for you. From 16 to 18 of June, Muse, The Lumineers, The 1975, Queens of the Stone Age, and Placebo are heading to Neuhausen Ob Eck and Scheessel.
But if pop is more your genre, check out Werchter Boutique on June 17 in Werchter, Belgium. This one day festival is headlined by Ellie Goulding, Pink and One Republic. Tickets start at 85€.
And then in the last week of June from the 21st to the 25th, the single biggest festival in Europe is taking place: Glastonbury in Somerset in the UK. Tickets are of course sold out months in advance but you can always snag a resale ticket if you don’t want to miss out. Arctic Monkeys, Guns n roses, Elton John, Lizzo, Lana del Rey, and Lil Nas X will be playing the festival but check out the full line up on their website.

Although you could also head to the north of Germany to Münster and check out one of the biggest punk rock festival Vainstream Rockfest on Saturday 24 June with Papa Roach, Hollywood Undead, Rancid, Architects and Anti-Flag as headliners. Tickets start at 109€.
If you want to check out some music at home, you can head to Neimënster on 24 June, as they are putting on the Siren’s Call festival. US-American indie act Japanese Breakfast is headlining with the french band Phoenix. The ticket for the day costs 62€ and kids under 12 years of age have free admission.
Rock Werchter is probably the largest rock festival in Belgium and it’s taking place on 4 days from 29 June to 2 July in Werchter. These past few years they’ve had a fantastic line-up and this year is no different. Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Liam Gallagher, Stromae and so many more are coming to the Leuven region to rock out. Tickets are selling out fast but they start at 127€.
The next festival is something for hip-hop fans. Rolling Loud Rotterdam is happening from 30 June to 1 July in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. There you can expect performances from Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Aitch, Centre Cee, Lil Uzi Vert and many more. You can get tickets for around 200€.
Taking place from 30 June to 2 July the Main Square Festival is the last big festival happening in June. Headliners David Guetta, Macklemore, Maroon 5 and Royal Republic will be playing in Arras, France near Lille.
Going into July, the first one on the list is a feast for reggaeton fans and hip-hop fans. From 6 to 9 July in Liège, Belgium J. Balvin, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Central Cee, Playboy Carti, Rae Sremmurd and Aya Nakamura are headling Les Ardentes. One day tickets are starting at 95€, the four-day tickets start at 249€.
If you prefer Germany as a country you will also find a similar line-up at Rollling Loud Germany in Munich. Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Wizkid, Central Cee, Gucci Mane, Lil Uzi Vert, Rae Sremmurd, Coi Leray and many more will perform from 7 to 9 July. Tickets are starting at 230€.
That same weekend the summer Awakenings festival in Hilvarenbeek, The Netherlands is a must for all techno fans. Headliners are ANNA, Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick & Luigi Madonna, Ben Klock, Fjaak, Kölsch, DJ Seinfeld, Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz. Weekend tickets start at 199€.
The first July week is also going to be busy here at home. The Luxexpo Open Air concert series is taking place from 3 to 11 July. RTL Today Radio will also have tickets for you to win for these concerts so be sure to listen in.
Lizzo will play a show 3 July that is sure to bring out all the good vibes. Then Arctic Monkeys will perform 4 July, followed by Paul Kalkbrenner on 7 July. Closing out the concert series will be the legend himself Robbie Wiliams. This next one is something for all jazz Fans. The North Sea Jazz Festival has been running in Rotterdam since 1976. This year it’s from 7 - 9 July and Stormzy, Little Simz, Lizzo and Janelle Monáe are headlining. Unfortunately tickets are sold out but keep an eye out for resale tickets.
Up next is a really great festival in Belgium for alternative music. The Dour Festival is happening in Dour from 12 - 16 July. The headliners are Janelle Monae, Tokischa, 070 Shake, Coely, Aphex Twin, CloZee, Paul Kalkbrenner and tickets start at 195€.
The Lollapalooza Festival in Paris is another big one that you cannot miss. From 21 - 23 July Rosalia, Lil Nas X, Kendrick Lamar, Kygo, One Republic and many many more will electrify the french capital. You can snag tickets for 220€.
But that same weekend you’ll also find the single biggest festival in Europe, probably the biggest electronic festival in the world: Tomorrowland. And in theory it’s right next door, Boom in Belgium is only a three hour drive away and you get to experience Afrojack, Amber Broos, Amelie Lens, Ape Rave Club, Armin Van Buuren, Dom Dolla, James Hype, Like Mice, R3HAB and other iconic acts. But the tickets to the fesival usually sell out in minutes. Maybe you can find some last minute resale tickets. Tomorrowland takes place on two weekends 21 - 23 July & 28 - 30 July.
That 21 - 23 July weekend is definitely a busy one you’ll also have Parookaville Festival happen in Germany; an electro festival headlined by The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Felix Jaehn and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
On top of that the Festival Foire Aux Vins is happening. It may sound like wine and alcohol event but they also have a music festival headlined by Franz Ferdinand Louise Attaque The Stranglers Florent Pagny. It’s a very cool place to be. Plus the village it’s taking place in one of the most picturesque places I have ever been.

August starts off with an amazing festival for Metalheads the Wacken Open Air 2023, from 2 to 5 August in Wacken, Germany. You’ll be able to see acts like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dropkick Murphys, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Anthrax, Pennywise, and Beartooth play live.
Probably the second biggest festival in Europe, one of the most iconic ones in the world is Sziget taking place on the island of freedom in Hungary. It’s a bit longer of a drive, you might even want to take a plane to go there but it’s well worth the trouble. Running the whole week of 9-14 August, you have the chance to witness the amazing vibes of this festival and see many many acts. Highlights include: Billie Eilish, David Guetta, Florence + the Machine, Imagine Dragons , Lorde, Macklemore and Mumford & Sons. Check out their website for the many different ticket options.
On the last weekend in August, the 25 to 27, if you are a fan of electronic music you could travel to Haarlemmermer in the Netherlands for Mysteryland. The headliners are looking really great with Hardwell, Joris Voorn, James Hype, Cynthia Spiering, Alesso, Headhunterz, Warface. It’ll be the 30th edition of the festival and with tickets starting from 109€ it could be an opportunity for you.
Lastly we have Paris biggest music festivalRock en Seine happening from 25-27 August. Headliners are Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Stromae, London Grammar, Yungblud, Fred Again, James Blake and many more. It’s more of a festival for the “I listen to all the genres” type of people, and with tickets starting from 75€ it could be a great way to close out your festival season.
