Despite laptop issues and unflattering up-nostril angles, we caught up with Miles Kane as he relaxed in his hotel before his recent show in Brussels. We cut the mustard on critics, reinvention and rediscovery, and how his current album “One Man Band” is the sound of Kane accepting that this is who he is and how he sounds at 37 years of age.
Invigorated and excited by this new chapter in his career, Miles also waxes lyrical about finding surprise inspiration in the classic back catalogue of Hot Chocolate. And whilst he’s more focused and still keen to develop, he’s very much aware that he can, on occasion, go on a bit of a ‘mad one’.
So, while there are no immediate plans for Miles to grace the Grand Duchy in the near future, why don’t you have a listen to our chat with the ex-Rascals and Last Shadow Puppet singer, and in the meantime the Today Radio crew will continue to pester the sometime crooner to bring his fine collection of riffs back to Luxembourg soon.
The album “One Man band” is available now on Modern Sky Records.
