After making a name for himself in his home country by opening for renowned rapper Cro and playing big festivals like Southside, the rapper is now finally headlining his own international tour.
Starting the tour in Zürich, he then came to Luxembourg with his unique sound: a mix of hip-hop, classic pop songs, rap tracks infused with electronic sounds and even slow piano ballads.
He brought with him a crowd of young people who were clearly touched by his music and his words, some of which came from far across the border to see him perform live.
MAJAN was born on 18 August 1999, under the name Marian Heim, in Germany near Stuttgart. He started his musical career in 2019 when he released his very first single “Nie da” (EN: “Never There”). He then went on to create his own label “Schere Stein Papier” in cooperation with Four Music.
Soon after, his career really took off when he released “1975”, a collaboration with Cro. The song reached the Top 50 single charts in Germany and Austria. That same year he received the “New Music Award” from the broadcaster ARD, one of the biggest TV channels in Germany. In 2021 he released his first album “SKITS”; which reached the top 20 album charts in Germany.
Before MAJAN came on stage, his opening act Austrian rapper “Bibiza” definitely knew how to warm up a crowd. When he asked concert goers to call for the main act of the evening, surely the people across the road were able to hear the chants.
On stage MAJAN is not just a rapper or a singer - he is an instrumentalist, an autodidact, a storyteller. Throughout the gig, the artist displayed an impressive range in instrumental handling, emotion building and language skills, as some of his songs were in English as well. On multiple occasions throughout his set, the sound metre surpassed 100 decibels.
At the end of the concert he thanked the crowd for their energy and promised to come back to Luxembourg for his next tour.
