The Rotondes' Summer festival, Congés Annulés, has some incredible musical artists attending throughout its month long celebration.

This is a preview of week two!

On Saturday August 5 Reymour, a Brussels based synth pop duo, perform at 8pm. Their dreamy and futuristic sound is sure to entrance you.

On August 6 indie rock band King Hannah will perform with support from Camille Camille starting at 8.30pm. King Hannah’s sounds is cool and relaxed, an yet, there is something dark about it too. Camille Camille is a Amsterdam based Belgian artist.

The next day, August 7, Etran de L’Aïr the Niger based group will perform starting at 8pm. Their pan-African sound is characterized by many electric guitars and their use of influences like Northern Malian blues, Hausa bar bands, and Congolese Soukous.

The Murder Capital are a five piece Dublin-based post-punk band coming off of their latest album “Gigi’s Recovery”. Since it released, they wanted to bring it on stage and you can see them perform it live on August 9.

On August 10 Swedish band Death and Vanilla will perform starting at 8.30pm. Death and Vanilla use vintage instruments and equipment to create infectious and unique pop and psychedelic music.

Opening for Death and Vanilla is Daily Vacation, a three piece garage rock trio that balances the edgy sounds of garage rock with the fun and light-hearted imagery of the beach.

Friday 11 features Napoleon Gold and Josy Basar. Napoleon Gold makes music to dance to! His bright electronic pop features lots of samples and many multi-layered tracks.

Week two closes out on August 12 with Hanakiv and Hannah Ida. Hanakiv is a composer, incorperating the piano into all of her songs. She has a wide range of eclectic influences that make her a truly one of a kind musician. Hannah Ida is a young singer/songwriter who wrote her first song when she was only 16.

Besides concerts, Congés Annulés also includes many other events all month long including DJ sets, a drawing work shop, and a record fair in which you can purchase physical music and other merch from participating bands. To sell your own bands merch, email nicolas.przeor@rotondes.lu.
