For the past 8 years, Rocklab has teamed up with the Luxembourg City Film Festival to showcase video clips made in Luxembourg by local artists, directors and creatives.
Lux Film Festival’s Alexis Juncosa and Rocklab’s Sam Reinard discussed their synergized event on The Sam Steen Show on Today Radio. Starting in 2015, this year’s edition is the fifth session where the music videos are shown at the cinema.
The screening, which is free upon prior registration, takes place at Ciné Utopia on 8 March and is a must-see for cinephiles, film and music industry professionals, artists as well as the general public.
Artists were invited to sign up, and from around 100 videos a preselection of 22 videos has been made for this year’s edition. Two videos will also be premiered exclusively that night. There will be a lot of familiar faces like CHAiLD, Frances of Delirium and Seed to Tree.
The event is an opportunity, not only to see the music videos on the big screen, but to meet the filmmakers and people behind the lenses. The screening is followed by a dedicated networking event at De Gudde Wëllen between artists and filmmakers. People have the opportunity to connect, to get to know each other and learn from each other.
A typical win-win situation! Who knows what partnerships this may form, and which videos we’ll see on the big screen in 2025?

The free tickets go on sale on 7 February on Rockhal’s website. Doors are at 6.30pm.
The Lux Film Festival is taking place from 29 February until 10 March.
