All of Luxembourg’s big local acts at some point made their first professional steps in this festival. Names include Tuys, Francis of Delirium, Maz, CHAiLD, Josh Island, Chasey Negro or C’est Karma. Many of them are now having international careers.
Not only do musicians - of any genre, by the way - get to play the Rockhal Club to a big audience, they also receive professional guidance and advice on how to navigate the music industry, how to craft an electronic press kit, and how to smash their live performance!
You can apply here before 12 May.
Once you’ve applied, artists can get their fans to vote for them online on the dedicated Instagram account of the festival. At the same time, a selection committee composed of promoters, experts and former Screaming Fields artists will also make their choice. The result of these two selections will decide on the 8 finalists to perform live at the Rockhal Club on 8 July.
There are many prizes to be won (although playing that awesome stage is a massive prize by itself). Prizes include follow-up coaching (vocal, stage, technical, entrepreneurial), free access to rehearsal rooms, live rehearsals, showcase opportunities and a €200 gift voucher from Stage Music.
However, even more important will be the presence of many festival bookers: If you convince them with your performance, you may well be added to next year’s line-up...before you know it, you’re playing Coachella.

There’s also a Song Contest, the ideal platform for aspiring songwriters and producers who prefer to share their creativity through recording and production. The deadline is a little later, on 17 June.
This year’s theme is “Tomorrow Starts Today”, and participants have to either write or produce a song about it.
