The Francofolies Esch/Alzette just turned up the volume for its 2026 edition with the announcement that Macklemore will headline the festival on Friday, 12 June.
Joining previously confirmed acts PLK (13 June) and GIMS (14 June), the American superstar brings global appeal to Luxembourg’s most vibrant summer music event.
Known for his socially conscious and emotionally charged hits like "Thrift Shop", "Can’t Hold Us", "Same Love", and "Glorious", Macklemore has amassed more than 13 billion streams worldwide. His energetic, interactive performances have made him one of the most compelling live acts of his generation, promising festivalgoers an unforgettable night of rhythm, heart, and connection.
Francofolies director Loïc Claret says Macklemore’s inclusion highlights the event’s international outlook: "The Francofolies Esch/Alzette is a crossroads of cultures. Being in the heart of Europe means celebrating music in every language – and Macklemore’s universal message fits perfectly with that spirit."
Reflecting Luxembourg’s cross-border identity, the Francofolies Esch/Alzette continues to champion diversity and openness, blending French-speaking talent with global stars.
