The Artists for Mental Health initiative returns this autumn for its fourth edition on Friday, 11 October, once again shining a light on the importance of mental well-being through live music and open conversation.

Presented in collaboration with the Commune of Niederanven, the event brings together artists and audiences for an evening of reflection, creativity, and connection.

The day begins at CIPA Grengewald at 4.30pm with Les Gavroches, performing a set of chanson française. The main evening programme then takes place at the Centre culturel, A Schommesch, in Oberanven, with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 8pm. This year’s line-up includes Daniel Balthasar, Josh Island (above), and Eva Marija, offering an eclectic mix of pop, rock, soul, and folk.

Each performer is given a carte blanche to explore the topic of mental health in their own way, through stories, lyrics, or personal reflections. The goal is to create space for honest dialogue and to highlight how music can both express and support emotional well-being.

Since its launch, Artists for Mental Health has featured an impressive roster of local talent including MAZ, Adriano Selva (formerly known as Chaild), Ptolemea, Ninon, Maale Gars, The X, and Pleasing. What began as a small community event has grown into a platform that combines meaningful conversation with intimate, stripped-back performances.

Admission is free for all events.
