This Sunday on the DB3 Show, Today Radio is thrilled to exclusively premiere two brand new tracks from Irish rockers Red Eye Pariah, the genre-defying four-piece known for their high-energy performances and bold songwriting.
Ahead of the official release on 18 April, listeners will get a first listen to Draw Your Own Map and (I Won’t Ever) Let You Down, two unreleased songs that showcase different sides of the band’s sound and spirit.
Draw Your Own Map is a swirling, groove-heavy anthem about shedding the emotional weight of the past. With fluttering vocals and a hypnotic instrumental, the track invites listeners to carve out their own paths. "It's about being able to let go of something that's plagued you for so long, held you back, or stopped personal progress", says frontman Deano Kelly. "Sometimes you just need to release whatever grip this thing has on you and go your own path."
The release is paired with a DIY music video, filmed and edited by the band themselves, adding a raw and authentic visual to match the track’s message.
Meanwhile, (I Won’t Ever) Let You Down flips the usual dynamic, with lead guitarist Sammy Stevenson stepping up to the mic. A reflective but hopeful track, it speaks to the desire to be a reliable presence for someone, even in difficult times. "Although that might seem unrealistic in tough times, to aspire is human", Sammy explains.
The double-release comes at a busy moment for Red Eye Pariah, who recently received backing from the PRS Foundation’s Open Fund for Music Creators. The support has helped the band gear up for their upcoming Tequila King UK Tour, which kicks off in Belfast on 2 May and includes stops in London, Glasgow, Manchester and more. No scheduled shows for Luxembourg yet but just you wait.
Red Eye Pariah formed in 2021 and have quickly built a dedicated following through sold-out shows and standout festival appearances. With their unique mix of alternative rock, emotional depth and DIY spirit, the new releases further cement their reputation as one of the most exciting rising bands on the scene.
Catch both tracks this Sunday on the DB3 Show from 5pm on Today Radio.
