Stranger Things – 5

Set in the fall of 1987, Hawkins is grappling with the aftermath of the Rifts opening between our world and the Upside Down. The town lies scarred, the lines between reality and nightmare blurred. The gang, older, broken-in and battle-worn, has one mission now: find and destroy the monster known as Vecna.
But the villain has disappeared, his plans opaque and more dangerous than ever. Complications multiply.

Hawkins is under military quarantine, with armed forces closing off options for escape or negotiation. Meanwhile, our hero, Eleven, is once again forced into hiding as the government redoubles its hunt for her. In a final crescendo, old hurts surface, friendships are tested, and the fate of the world hinges on every member of the group standing together, one last time. The stakes have never been higher: a darkness taller and tougher than anything Hawkins has seen waits on the other side.

IT: Welcome to Derry

This horror prequel series is set in 1962 in the fictional Maine town of Derry, decades before the events of the films. As strange disappearances begin to plague the community, a new family arrives and starts to uncover the town’s dark under-belly of generational trauma and unseen evil.

The story delves into how the malevolent entity known as Pennywise came to prey on Derry, exploring origins and cycles of horror beyond what viewers have seen before. The series is created by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, and features Bill Skarsgård reprising Pennywise. As the die-hard mythology of Derry deepens, the show promises to peel back familiar horror tropes and expose the roots of the terror long before the Losers Club ever showed up.

The Mitchells vs the Machines 2

In the anticipated sequel to the smash animated hit, the lovable Mitchell family must once again band together to thwart a new threat: a highly intelligent android or machine force bent on domination.

The narrative promises new adventures, fresh satire of tech and family dynamics, and the same heart-felt animation style that made the original a favourite.
