The Luxembourg City Film Festival celebrated its 15th edition this year, drawing around 21,000 visitors and closing with a star-studded ceremony at Kinepolis Kirchberg on 15 March.

The Luxembourg City Film Festival marked its 15th edition this year, drawing around 21,000 visitors.

The closing ceremony, held on Saturday evening at Kinepolis in Kirchberg, saw nine prestigious awards presented to the winners, with The New Year That Never Came by Bogdan Mureşanu claiming the coveted Grand Prix and the International Critic’s Prize.

The festival, which ran from 6 March until Saturday, featured a wide array of films. In addition to Mureşanu's double win, The Village Next to Paradise by Mo Harawe also garnered attention, receiving both a Special Mention and the 2030 Award from Luxembourg Aid&Development.
