Following a week of deliberations, the Luxembourg Film Fund has announced financial support for 16 new projects, with €590,000 allocated to writing and development and €9 million going towards production.

The selection committee of the Luxembourg Film Fund convened for several days last week to evaluate a total of 27 projects, with 16 ultimately shortlisted and awarded financial support.

Nine projects will receive support on the writing and development front, with the combined aid amounting to €590,000. In seven cases, the Fund will support production, for which a total budget of €9 million has been allocated. The latter projects include two feature-length animation films – 'The Lion Queen' by Carlo Vogele and 'The Last Dinosaur' by Federico Milella – which will each receive €3 million.
