RTL’s thriller series Dangerous Truth, starring acclaimed Luxembourgish actress Désirée Nosbusch, will be available with English subtitles from 14 April, opening it up to Luxembourg’s international community.
The story follows Alex Jaromin, who has spent the past 20 years living under a false name in Athens as part of a German Federal Criminal Police (BKA) witness protection programme. Following his mother’s death, Alex begins to unravel the truth behind the deaths of his father and sister in 2003, which he had always believed to be the work of Serbian nationalists. His investigation leads him to discover that the German government had sent his father to Baghdad to retrieve a key witness, in a covert attempt to prevent the United States from launching the Iraq War on the basis of intelligence provided by German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) informant Curveball.
The series consists of six episodes, each running to 45 minutes. A new episode airs every Tuesday at 8pm on RTL 2 and RTL Play, with the first episode available from Tuesday 14 April. Viewers streaming from Luxembourg can watch each episode on RTL Play for a further 30 days after broadcast.
