The postponed event will take place from 1 October 2021 until 31 March 2022.

In the context of his visit to the United Arab Emirates, Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot visited the construction site around the Luxembourgish pavilion in Dubai. The structure is set to receive a new life after the expo has come to an end, as local officials have announced that they want to keep the building intact.

However, no further details are known at this stage. A press release only conveys that Minister Fayot and expo commissioner Maggy Nagel have accepted a proposal from Minister Reem Al Hashemi. "This gives an opportunity to keep the structure intact without additional costs, even after the expo has concluded", Minister Fayot commented.
