The three festivals, all organised by the liaison committee of foreigners' associations (CLAE) will take place on the same weekend, all at Luxexpo The Box on Kirchberg.
This year's Festival des migrations, which will take place from 1 to 3 March, has a lot more to offer than just good food. The festival, which is in its 36th year this year, will take place alongside two other festivals: The Salon du livre, a book fair, is in its 19th edition and the Arts manif festival, a meeting place for contemporary artists and their work, is in its 7th edition this year.
This year's salon du livre will bring more than 100 writers and authors from across the world together. One of them is Luxembourgish author Lambert Schlechter, whose book "Piéton sur la voie lactée" was recently translated into Bosnian and published there. During the book fair, visitors will get to meet the author as well as his editors from Bosnia.

The arts manif festival will be taking place at the same venue on the same weekend and its contemporary pieces of art, including paintings, sculptures and photographs, will be displayed and for sale in the presence of the artists. 42 artists will be present this year to talk about their art and their journey. Given that some of them have crossed the Mediterranean Sea in a dinghy to come to Europe as refugees, there will be plenty of stories to tell.
