Graffiti artist Alain Welter has transformed his hometown. "Make Koler Kooler" is the name of his project.
It's not difficult to guess what attracts tourists to Koler these days. The Graffiti.
The reason this is such a big attraction is the art project "Make Koler Kooler". Koler in Luxembourgish, Kahler in German and French. Just off the A6 at the belgian border, the village sitting between Kleinbettingen, Grass and Garnech has now become a hotspot for graffiti.
“I don’t know what is happening, but people seem especially keen to find graffiti nowadays,” said a visitor to Koler. A really lovely autumn day which people were adamant to take full advantage of and go and explore the great outdoors - and graffiti.
Koler has become the place to be, and you can find graffiti on every surface. On private properties, barn walls, garages and doorways. To be able to find them all you'll need a lot of time, because once you start looking, Koler doesn’t seem so small anymore.
The Graffiti is the artwork of artist Alain Welter. He wanted to make Koler “kooler” and it seems like he's managed it. The village has become a huge attraction thanks to his “Urban-Art-Project”.
