On 20 October, MUDAM is hosting an exciting day of talks by radio broadcasters in English. Read on for more information.

The talk radio day, hosted by broadcasters Sophie Krier and Erik Wong, is presented by MUDAM in collaboration with Design City Luxembourg. The topics on the day will revolve around the themes of craft, industrial production, and the impact on society.

Alongside renowned international guests, the broadcasters will discuss these issues in three talks, each with a different focus. The first talk, WE INDUSTRY, WE CRAFT, WE DESIGN, will discuss design culture and the political power of mapping. This is then followed by a talk, YOU CRAFT, YOU INDUSTRY, YOU DESIGN, which discusses material agency. The final talk, ME INDUSTRY, ME CRAFT, ME DESIGN, will examine perception, cognition, and interpretation.

The questions that the hosts and guests will endeavour to answer will include how to overcome antagonistic attitudes and diverse objectives in social groups using the lens of design.

The Talk Radio Day will occur as an event for the Design City Lux Festival, which marks its fifth edition this year between 19 October and 18 November. Ticket prices are €25 euros (and €20 for students) and can be booked at radio@mudam.lu. The day will include a lunch to continue informal discussions, and a drinks reception after the final talk has concluded.

The first talk kicks off at 10am on 20 October.
