The fortress history society is inviting visitors to their annual summer tours again, with this year's theme being all about water.

Water is an important building block of life, and this is especially true when it comes to fortresses under siege. A series of guided tours will introduce visitors to the old water supply system of the fortress in Luxembourg City—and it is not for the faint-hearted.

The tour will take groups deep into the underground tunnels of the "Casemates" and to other places usually not accessible to the public. The tours take around 2-2.5 hours, with the first tour taking place on 5 August.  The last tour will take place on 9 September. Visitors are advised to wear sturdy shoes and pack a jacket and a torch.
