About Schläifmillen
Schläifmillen is a former textile factory, which has been partially turned into a place of artistic creation.
The project Schläifmillen was born in 1986, when a group of artists lacking appropriate structures - a problem many artists still face - decides to occupy the decomissioned industrial premises.
The current mayor of Luxembourg City, Lydie Polfer, who held the same position at the time, decided to support the project and granted the collective of artists free access to the classified site.
