For the last four years, Armand Strainchamps has spiced up Luxembourg's art scene with his vibrant pop and neo-pop portraits.

In Strainchamps' latest exhibition at Esch's Schlassgoart gallery, the Luxembourg artist opens a creative dialogue between his paintings and dynamic sculptures.

At age 14 Strainchamps had already firmly resolved to become an artist. Upon completing his studies, he repeatedly experimented with different techniques. After a prolonged black and white copy-art period, he rediscovered colour.

Unnecessary details remain absent from his works. He wishes to express only the truly essential.

For the first time in his career, his new exhibition features steel sculptures. Inspired by his paintings, they do not fail to impress by their size and three-dimensionality.

The exhibition "Eclats" is open to the public until 30 May at the Schlassgoart gallery in Esch.
