The online exhibition concludes a larger research project revolving around World War I. Culture minister Xavier Bettel opened the exhibition.
Last Thursday, the digital exhibition about the First World War was presented at the University of Luxembourg, in Belval. The expo illustrates the work of a fruitful research project that was launched in February 2016 and supported by the ministry.

The main themes addressed by the exhibition include the German occupation, the scarcity of food supply and more generally the then prevailing socio-political tensions. A spokesperson of the project explained that the exhibition reflects Luxembourg's making of history and its collective memory.
