RTL Today - Rumelange: Luxembourg's national mining museum re-opens

If rocks are your thing, you can dig into Luxembourg's industrial past every week from Thursday to Sunday between 2 and 6pm.

The museum collections include tools, machines, gear and archival documents relating to Luxembourg's iron extraction from the mid-19th century all the way up to the 1980s. Find out what everyday life was like for a miner!

Apart from an impressive showroom, most of the museum collections are on display in the underground galleries of the mines. The various machines and equipment which were used over the years bear witness to more than a century of technological progress.
