T71 Dudelange are the women's basketball champions of Luxembourg for 2025/26.
On Friday evening, Dudelange defeated AB Contern 95:54 in their own hall to complete a 3-0 sweep of the best-of-five series and claim the club's fifth women's championship title.
Contern were again without professional player Caileigh Walsh. T71 broke away quickly, racing into a 13:2 lead and never looking back. The visitors battled as best they could but were simply unable to match Dudelange's tempo and intensity throughout.
By halftime, the home side led 48:27, and the second half was a formality as T71 continuously extended their advantage under coach Tom Schumacher.
Five Dudelange players finished in double figures, with Lauren Van Kleunen leading the way on 20 points.
The opening match of the men's relegation barrage also took place on Friday, with Hiefenech of the Nationale 2 pulling off an impressive 89:79 victory on home court against Stadtbredimus to take a 1:0 lead in the best-of-three series.
After a competitive first half, Hiefenech asserted themselves with a strong third quarter that proved decisive. Jakub Washington led the way for the home side with 26 points.
The second game of the series takes place on Tuesday in Stadtbredimus, where the Musel Pikes must win to keep their place in the Enovos League.
