On Friday afternoon, the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) announced the decision to extend Jeff Strasser's contract early, keeping Strasser in the role until 30 June 2028.
The contract was initially due to expire on 31 December 2026.
FLF president Paul Philipp said the contract extension is a strong sign of trust and continuity, praising Strasser's familiarity with Luxembourgish football, its structure and ambitions. The FLF is certain Strasser is the right person to push the national team's development further forward, Philipp added.
Strasser thanked the federation, the board of directors and its president for their faith in him.
The Red Lions will be back in action next week, playing a friendly against Italy at the Stade de Luxembourg on Wednesday, before travelling to Albania a few days later.
