Around 2,000 people gathered on Sunday morning in front of the Grand Théâtre in Luxembourg City to take part in a community run. Participants of all ages and from across the Greater Region were present, ready to start at 10.30am after a warm-up session.
The run was widely advertised in advance via social media, helping to attract a diverse and enthusiastic crowd.
Organised in collaboration with Luxembourg City authorities, the police, and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), the event led runners and walkers on a route spanning several kilometres from the Grand Théâtre to the Geesseknäppchen area. The emphasis was on enjoying the experience together: fun, exercise, and a sense of community took centre stage, while finishing times were irrelevant. Simply reaching the finish line was considered a success.
