Kenyan runner Erick Kiptoo won the 16th edition of the ING Night Marathon in Luxembourg on Saturday.

Kiptoo finished the race in 2h13m14s ahead of his compatriot James Kiplagat, who crossed the finishing line 1 minute and 26 seconds after Kiptoo. Third place went to Moroccan runner Abida Ezamzami, who finished the race in 2 hours 23 minutes and 4 seconds.

Luc Scheller was the fastest Luxembourger across the line, finishing fourth overall with a time of 2 hours 37 minutes and 12 seconds.

The women's half-marathon was won by Ukranian runner Tetyana Vernygor with a time of 1 hour 20 minutes and 10 seconds. Second place in this race went to Luxembourger Anny Wolter, who finished some 11 seconds after the Vernygor. Third place went to Camille Bucciarelli from France.

Meanwhile, Luxembourger Yonas Kinde set a new record for the men's half-marathon, finishing first with a time of 1 hour 7 minutes and 57 seconds. That time saw him finishing over three minutes before second-placed Belgian runner Tommy Kinders, with third place going to Italian runner Riccardo Marschesi.
