Kindé and Wolter were the first Luxembourgers to cross the finish line at the Frankfurt Marathon on Sunday, which earned both of them the national title.
Kinde celebrated his first national title after completing the marathon in two hours, 20 minutes, and eight seconds. The Celtic Diekirch runner crossed the finish line as 15th overall. The race was won by Brimin Misoi from Kenya.
Garry Assel and Scharel Lehners were second and third Luxembourgers, respectively, to cross the finish line.
Anny Wolter is the new national women's champion. The CA Fola runner crossed the finish line after two hours, 54 minutes, and 35 seconds, placing 27th overall. The women's race was won by Selly Kaptich, another athlete from Kenya.
