The Luxembourgish junior cyclist beat his competitors to the finish line in Diekirch and was thus crowned winner of the Grand Prix de Luxembourg after 94 kilometres.
The international junior road cycling race ended with a win for a local cyclist. Mathieu Kockelmann was the first rider to cross the finish line in Diekirch after 94 kilometres.
Kockelmann broke away from the main group early on and managed to get the better of Jarno Widar and Mark Lightfoot at the finish line.
Mil Morang came eighth, Fynn Ury finished the race as ninth, and Mars Berns as eleventh. All three Luxembourgish cyclists crossed the finish line more than two minutes after the winner.
