The Luxembourgish karate fighter lost 1:3 against Veronica Brunori from Italy.

Warling fought in the -55 kg category in Portugal. After losing against world number one Anzhelika Terliuga from Ukraine on Friday, Warling still qualified for the bronze medal match on Sunday morning.

Both Warling and her Italian opponent began the fight with caution. Warling managed to score the first point with a punch to the face 25 seconds before the end of the bout. However, Brunori succeeded in turning things around with a kick to the head, worth three points, a mere six seconds before the end.

Warling thus returns from Portugal empty-handed. In three weeks, she will participate in the next K1 tournament in Rabat.
