Though many federations have chosen to postpone larger events due to the current Covid situation, the Athletics Federation decided to go ahead with their national aquathlon championships.

220 athletes, mostly from Luxembourg and the border region, participated in the aquathlon competition at Coque Sports Centre in Kirchberg.

Bob Haller and last year's champion Luca Cambresy fought the title race out between them. Despite sticking close to one another throughout, Haller managed to use the final stretch of running to get ahead and secure the national title as he crossed the finish line as 6th overall.

European youth champion Mara Krombach dominated in the women's race and crossed the finish line 18 seconds before second-placed Possberg from Switzerland. She thus won the national title ahead of Gwen Nothum and her youngest sister Linda.
