The annual WTA tournament will last from 11 to 19 September and will be played in Kockelscheuer.

Luxembourgish tennis star Mandy Minella will face 21-year-old Varvara Gracheva from Russia in the first round on Tuesday. The match will be played after 6pm, though the exact time has not been fixed yet.

The Russian tennis player is currently number 77 in the WTA ranking, 92 spots above 35-year-old Minella. Up until now, both athletes only faced off once. Minella won said match, which took place in Lausanne in Juli, in two sets.

Our colleagues from RTL spoke to Minella ahead of the 25th edition of the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open: "It will be the last time that I play at the tournament in Kockelscheuer. I will try not to be too emotional and play as professionally as I would in any match."

You can follow the encounter between Minella and Gracheva live on RTL ZWEE and on RTL.lu. Commentary will be provided by Franky Hippert and Gilles Muller.
