The pair led the tournament since day one, both putting in great performances.
The second day brought them to the podium in first place following two days of competition at Kikuoka Golf Country Club in Canach.
Charles Weis, a 20-year-old golfer who flew in from the South of France where he studies, was in the lead since the end of the first day's play, after posting an extraordinary score of -7, putting him nine shots in front.
That first day's round proved impossible to top as Weis finished even -- but with a 14 shot lead over defending national champion Patrick Rahmé.
Charles, who started playing at five years old, took the sought-after victory for the first time with a solid final card of -7.
Patrick Rahmé took second place at 7 over par, and third place was earned by Sam Kretz who managed to stay in the hunt over the two days, with a total score of +8.
On the ladies side, defending national champion 18-year-old golfer Marie Baertz claimed her third consecutive title, taking a six shot lead into the final round, after a remarkable low score of +2 on the first day. Despite her second round featuring some loose shots, she finished at 13 over, two shots ahead of Eugènie Moine, who shot the second best score on the last day.
Caroline Point, junior national champion in 2021, claimed third place with +17 as she fought back with the best performance on the second day.
"This championship with a lead of 14 shots meant a lot to me, showed me that hard work pays off and I will continue to work harder to get my goal done in a few years" said Charles Weis on his win.
With an eye on the future, Weis identified that there was work still to be done regarding the development of golf in Luxembourg;
"We have such a potential now in Luxembourg, we have very good young players, dedicated to the sport, with goals just like me, we could get more out of it and I will be happy to see where it goes for them too."
In this competition, Weis brought the National Championship to a new level.
