A number of Luxembourgish football players were back in action over the weekend.
Friday
Enes Mahmutovic, who plays for Ukrainian side FC Lviv, suffered a 3:0 defeat on Friday. The Luxembourgish defender played the full 90 minutes of the first league encounter.
Saturday
Maxime Chanot, who captains New York City FC in the US American Major Soccer League, lead his side to a 4:1 win over MLS champions Columbus Crew. He played the full 90 minutes of the game.
New York City FC is currently in third place in the Eastern Conference.
In the third German Bundesliga, Maurice Deville was in the starting formation of 1. FC Saarbrücken, who lost 1:2 against VfL Osnabrück. The Luxembourgish international was substituted after 45 minutes.
Christoper Martins, who plays for Swiss side BSC Young Boys, drew 0:0 against Grasshopper Club Zürich. The Luxembourgish footballer received a yellow card after 44 minutes, and was substituted after 81.
Sunday
Dirk Carlson and FC Erzgebirge Aue drew 0:0 in the second German Bundesliga against FC St. Pauli from Hamburg. Carlson played the full 90 minutes of the game.
Anthony Moris' side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise lost 0:1 against Club Brugge KV. The Luxembourgish goalkeeper was beaten by Brugge striker Sobol.
Gerson Rodrigues has another win to his name after FC Dynamo Kyiv beat NK Veres Rivne 4:0. The Luxembourgish player was brought on after 46 minutes.
Oli Thill and FC Vorskla Poltava won 2:0 against FC Rukh Lviv. The Luxembourgish player provided the assist to the second goal and was substituted four minutes before the end of the game.
