Luxembourg beat Ireland 69:59 in the final on Sunday, while Kosovo won the bronze medal after winning 70:60 against Malta.

Both teams recorded three decisive wins prior to the final of the Women's European Championship for Small Countries. After a balanced start to the game, Luxembourg was able to take the lead three minutes into the encounter.

After the first ten minutes, the score stood at 27:20, the Grand Duchy still in the lead. During the second quarter, Ireland fought back and gained the lead for a short period time. Luxembourg equalised to 41:41 soon after.

It took five minutes in the third quarter until the players from Luxembourg took over again. They now controlled the game and extended their lead to twelve points. The score stood at 58:46 when the last quarter began. In the end, they kept their advantage and decided the game 69:59.
