MP Chantal Gary (The Greens) addressed a number of questions regarding inclusivity at Minister of Sports Dan Kersch.
Issues included access to sport buildings, training offers for people with disabilities, as well as exclusion for financial reasons.
MP Claude Lamberty (Democratic Party) also commented: "Inclusivity means giving people a chance to actively participate in our societal life. We would not be here today if this was already the case."
Another important point of discussion was a growing lack of volunteers, who are critical for the everyday operations of sports clubs. Minister Kersch commented: "In our relaunch plan, we reemphasise the importance of volunteers. Without them, there is no sport."
A respective campaign is thus set to be launched, which will see a revision of leave from work for sports reasons, as well as the introduction of a sport coordinator on municipal level.
