Swiss cyclist Gino Mäder won the eighth and final stage of the tour on Sunday.

Richard Carapaz is the grand winner of the 2021 edition. The Ecuadorian came in fifth on Sunday, a performance that was strong enough to secure him a win in the general standings.

Bob Jungels crossed the finish line as 29th on Sunday, 4 minutes and 57 seconds after Mäder. The Luxembourgish cyclist thus ranks 19th in the combined table, with a delay of 12 minutes and 36 seconds.

Luxembourgish riders Alex Kirsch and Jempy Drucker were less successful in this year's tour, finishing as 82nd and 100th respectively.
