Due to an engine failure, the Luxembourgish driver finished the "Gulf 12 Hours" last in his category.
Pereira was supposed to enter the race on spot three with his McLaren 720S GT3, right after UAE driver Edard Jones and British driver Lewis Jones. However, out of the twelve hours, the team was only on the circuit for one. Following a failure of the car's turbocharger in lap 26, the race came to an abrupt and early end.
Also participating in the race was the professional motorcycle road racer and multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi. The Italian came in fourth with his Ferrari 488 GT3. Winner of the race was the Seas Motorsport team, compromised out of Isa Bin Abdulla Alkhalifa, Ben Barnicoat, and Martin Kodric. They were the only ones to complete the total of 341 laps.
