The cycling federation announced their adapted calendar for all WorldTour races on Tuesday. The plans can however only be considered as provisional. The Tour de France will last from the end of August until 20 September, as previously announced.

The Tour de Luxembourg will be held simultaneously from 15 to 19 September. This overlap has no serious consequences, the lack of a break after the Tirreno Adriatico is unfortunate however.

Ed Buchette, organiser of the Tour de Luxemboufg, emphasised that a cycling events has enormous economic impacts that cannot be forgotten:

“Alone during the annual Skoda Tour, 250 hotel beds are occupied for a week by people involved in the race.”

The Giro d’Italia will take place from 3 to 25 October, the Vuelta from 20 October to 8 November, according to the new UCI calendar. Classic races, such as Milan-San Remo, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Tour des Falndres, Paris-Roubaix, and the Tour de Lombardie, are also scheduled to take place between 8 August and 31 October.
