The Europa League dream is over for Fola, with Jeff Strasser’s team eliminated in the first round on Wednesday.
After losing 2-1 to the Georgian team Chikhura in the first game, the men from Esch were unable to keep their European adventure going.
Chikhura were a goal to the good in the 25th minute thanks to Ardazishvili, then doubled their lead in the 73rd minute with a goal by Sardalishvili.
Although Sinani clawed one back for Fola thanks to a penalty in the 89th minute, it all came too late for the Luxembourg team.
