This change applies to all competitions scheduled to end before 31 December 2020. The adaptation came about due to the compressed calendar with more fixtures in a row than in “regular” seasons. Teams will thus be allowed to make five changes to their line-up instead of three.
Fifa further communicated that competitions would be free to decide themselves whether to implement the changes or not.
