This Saturday, the Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters semifinals continued at the Coque in Kirchberg, as players faced stiff competition for a spot in the final.

In the first semifinal, Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova faced off against Switzerland's Martina Hingis. Hingis quickly gained an advantage, breaking Cibulkova's serve to lead 4:1 in the first set. However, Cibulkova found her momentum, winning consecutive games and pushing the set into a tiebreaker.

The players kept the audience captivated, but it was Hingis who managed to hold her nerve slightly better, edging out Cibulkova to win the first set 7:6.

Following the first set, Cibulkova's energy appeared to wane in the second, allowing Hingis to dominate and secure a 6:0 win, claiming her spot in Sunday's final.

Germany's Andrea Petkovic faced Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens in the second semifinal. Both players fought hard in a highly entertaining match for the spectators at the Coque, but it was Flipkens who took the first set 6:4, setting the stage for her advancement.

The second set of the match between Petkovic and Flipkens was equally thrilling, with both players refusing to give anything away. At 4:3, Flipkens managed to break Petkovic’s serve, gaining a crucial advantage.

The Belgian then found herself with three match points, which Petkovic impressively defended. However, with two serves in her favour, Flipkens ultimately secured a 6:3 victory.

With this win, Flipkens advances to the final, where she will face Martina Hingis on Sunday afternoon.
