Merton first captured global attention with her breakthrough single No Roots in 2016. The track quickly became an international hit, topping viral charts and climbing the alternative radio charts in the United States while establishing her distinctive blend of pop, rock and indie influences.
Born in Frankfurt to a German mother and Irish father and raised between Canada, Germany and the UK, Merton’s music reflects a life shaped by constant movement and cultural exchange. That global upbringing is part of what inspired No Roots, a song about never feeling tied to just one place.
Since then, she has built a strong reputation as both a songwriter and performer. Her debut album Mint arrived in 2019, followed by S.I.D.E.S. in 2022, and earlier this year she released her third studio album Visions, continuing to expand her sound and creative ambition.
Luxembourg audiences will remember her triumphant appearance at the sold out Absolut Bartreng Festival in 2024, and this weekend she returns to the ‘Bourg for what promises to be another powerful live show.
