A tragic shooting occurred overnight into Tuesday in the Hauts-de-Vallières district of Metz, resulting in the death of a young woman. The victim was reportedly filming a video for social media with her boyfriend when she was attacked by a group of three to four individuals.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 2.30am, and the woman, born in 1994, was rushed to the hospital. Despite efforts to save her, she later died from severe gunshot wounds to the chest. A second person sustained a gunshot wound to the leg but is not in life-threatening condition.
The Metz public prosecutor’s office is expected to release further details on Tuesday afternoon as the investigation continues.
