During a police speed check on the E40 motorway on Tuesday, a young man from Machelen was caught driving at 250 kilometres per hour in a rented sports car.
A total of 129 drivers out of the 4,155 on the road between 9.30am and 1.30pm were fined and five had their driving licenses confiscated. 97% of the drivers checked, however, respected the speed limit.
