According to the police and witnesses, the driver got out of her vehicle when she spotted the dead animal and threw a goldfish and windshield wiper fluid on it before performing what local media called a “spiritual ritual.” One witness said she also yelled “repent” at the possum.
Another person called police and told them that the woman’s driving style had been erratic before she stopped her vehicle.
According to the police report, the animal was later removed from the street.
