
The woman pulled her car into the nearest petrol station. Shocked employees scrambled to press the emergency button to shut down the station’s petrol pumps.
“We saw the car approaching, with smoke coming out the windows,” one employee said to NOS. “We hoped she wouldn’t drive to us.” The woman stopped the car several metres away from the pumps.
Employees rushed out with fire extinguishers but the flames proved too big. Firefighters attended to the vehicle soon after. Luckily no one was injured in the incident, and flames did not jump over to the pumps. A major catastrophe could be avoided.
