France’s Marine Le Pen sparked controversy after comparing the stranded refugees to windmills. In her own words, “migrants are like windmills, everybody agrees that there should be some but nobody want to have them close to home.”

When she was questioned about her stance on immigrations, she said her politics were similar to the ones of Italian far-right interior minister Matteo Salvini. “Like Salvini,” she said, “we must stop immigration.”
