On Friday, teams at the Cattenom power plant reconnected production Unit No. 2 to the electricity grid. The unit had been temporarily offline since 5 October due to essential maintenance work on a non-nuclear component, specifically, the water supply system within the machine room.
While Unit 4 remains operational, Units 1 and 3 have been undergoing scheduled maintenance procedures since 30 September and 7 October, respectively.
